To my friend

 Today's a friend's birthday, and as a gift, I've got to write a poem for her.

I cannot share the whole poem, but here's a piece of it. 

I haven't written a poem since last year. It's not that there's nothing to write. It's just that whenever I write, laziness gets in the way. 

The hard thing about writing poems is that it's easy to lay things down, but it requires a lot of editing. Same with layering bricks, you cannot just randomly lay that out, and just hope that it stands.  There must be an intentional arrangement. 

But isn't that writing in general?

Well yes.  However, even if I won't even elaborate, we're all aware of the stark differences of prose and poem.
